Nick Bayer and The Sam Noble Musuem
A trip to the Sam Noble Museum is like going on a treasure hunt. Around every corner are bits of our treasured world. The museum houses over 10 million objects and specimens. This was the inspiration for Oklahoma City artist Nick Bayer's mural Hidden Treasures located near Bag Claim 3 in the terminal building. Commissioned by the museum, and donated to the airport, the painting hints at the fascinating things that can be found at the museum.
Nick Bayer earned his BFA and M.Ed. from the University of Central Oklahoma and his MFA from Kansas State University. He is currently the Creative Director at Taylor Foam as well as an active practitioner in the arts. Nick’s unique constructions have been shown regionally and his work belongs to many public and private collections. His award winning mural work can be seen throughout the walls of the state of Oklahoma.
