WRWA Hourly Parking Moves to Temporary Location

July 17, 2018

Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Scheduled for 2-Story Parking Garage [Parking Map]

OKLAHOMA CITY, July 17, 2018 – Wednesday, July 18, the hourly parking at WRWA will be relocated temporarily to an adjacent parking garage. The move will facilitate repairs and maintenance to Garage A which currently accommodates short-term parkers and future premium parking.

Visitors picking up or dropping off passengers at WRWA or those planning to only spend a short time in the terminal building, will now park in the first level of Garage C.  Garage C is accessed using the first entrance into the parking garage. Parkers will be directed to this temporary location with yellow overhead roadway signs and additional signage at the entrance.   Customers will only be able to access the terminal via the climate-controlled pedestrian tunnel, entering and exiting at Elevator Station 5.  There will be no access to the airport terminal from the ground level.

Visitors may also utilize the cell phone waiting lot where persons remain in their car until their passengers call from the curbside.  The lot is located on SW 67th St., directly across from the Air Traffic Control Tower. Everyone is reminded that the terminal curbside is for active loading and unloading only.   Parking, waiting and unattended vehicles are prohibited and subject to ticketing.

The construction project will address water intrusion issues on the lower level of Garage A which is planned for future premium parking.   Work will include replacement of the waterproofing membrane on the upper deck and replacement of all expansion joints.  The project is anticipated to last through the end of the year.
