WRWA Hourly Parking Scheduled to Reopen
OKLAHOMA CITY, April 2, 2019 – The Will Rogers World Airport hourly parking reopens to the public tomorrow, Wednesday, April 3, after an eight-month closure. The upper level of the two-story garage, where hourly is located, has been closed for repairs. During the closure, short-term parkers were relocated to a temporary location in the five-story garage.
The construction project addressed significant water intrusion issues on the lower level of the garage. Work included replacement of the waterproofing membrane on the upper deck and replacement of all expansion joints.
Final touches are currently being put on the lower level of the garage and will soon open as premium parking. The premium option will offer close-in, covered parking to travelers and the ability to make reservations online.
The location that was used for the temporary hourly parking will be power-washed and returned to its primary purpose of long-term parking by April 12, 2019.
